Elijah Coleman Bridgman had a variety of different haircuts during his lifetime. He was most recognized as a great translator, missionary and Bible translator. Nevertheless, the First American missionary to China was particularly known for his beautiful sense of fashion and his pleasant character. Before his death at the age of 60 he was frequently featured in magazines and tabloids due to his exceptionally hair and looks.
